The Georgia Sheriffs’ Association, Inc.^® Civil Process Division Presents  a Two Day Advance Seminar:

Fi. Fa.s & Levying 101 & Fi. Fa.s & Levying 102

Wednesday, February 8 & , Thursday, February 9, 2012

Day One will cover the basics of legally levying and selling personal property under Georgia Law based on a Writ of Fieri Facias (Fi. Fa.).  An extensive handout will be provided so that the student may continue independent study of this important subject. This class is designed for Deputy Sheriffs who are involved in the seizure and sale of personal property.

Day Two will cover Fi. Fa.s & Levying 102.  Note: Fi.Fa.s & Levying 101 is a pre-requisite to attending the second day of training. This class is designed for Deputy Sheriffs who are involved in the seizure and sale of real property based on a Writ of Fieri Facias (Fi. Fa.). An extensive handout will be provided so that the student can continue independent study of this important subject. This is a complicated topic and is full of "land mines" that potentially can create serious liability issues for a Sheriff's Office.
