Note: On July 1, 2005 the law changed and eliminated the Georgia Department of Motor Vehicle Safety. The functions were split between the Georgia Public Service Commission (PSC)(,  Georgia Department of Public Safety (DPS), Georgia Department of Transportation (DOT), the Georgia Department of Revenue, Motor Vehicle Division (DOR) &  Georgia Department of Driver Services (DDS).
