Effective January 1, 2010 the Georgia Civil Process Association (GCPA) has become a Division of the Georgia Sheriffs' Association, Inc.® (GSA). We look forward to begin Georgia Law Enforcement only training in the near future. We are putting together an Advisory Board. Planning and implementation will begin as soon as the GSA Board of Directors approves the makeup of the Advisory Board. This insures that our eight year old sole purpose to provide training in the Service of Civil Process and other related topics will continue through out Georgia. Stay tuned for further details! The Association was formed after several Deputy Sheriffs and Deputy Marshals "kicked" the idea around for several years during casual conversation. On March 27, 2001 an organizational meeting was held in Gwinnett County to see if there was enough interest in the Law Enforcement Community to form an association. 42 people showed up. The name was selected and a Steering Committee was formed. Quarterly training sessions were held throughout the year. Meeting attendance has exceeded 150 on several occasions!
